Are You Always In a Hurry? Stop and Take Five!

As my annual Sales Leadership Summit approaches, one of the things I’ve been thinking about is how, as sales leaders, we’re constantly moving.

We put out fires in a hurry, answer people’s questions in a hurry, we pretty much do everything in a hurry. It’s just part of what we do.

But when it comes to project planning – things that have multiple steps and involve some complexity – I want to suggest that you slow down, step back, and take five!

I’m not talking about taking a five-minute break! I’m talking about my Take Five Challenge. The Take Five Challenge allows you to step back and see the big picture. It forces you to slow down and plan strategically, rather than frantically.

I’m convinced that by taking five minutes to ask yourself some ‘big picture’ questions it will make a huge difference in the way you execute your project.

So Take Five, figure out what is really important, and go change the world!
