If you’re like most salespeople you tend to show the homes while standing in the same spot in each of the rooms. Is it the best possible place to stand? Maybe, but maybe not.

It’s amazing how different a home can look from different spaces around the room. Try this exercise: walk your model or a standing inventory home and stand in different places. Note the change of depth, light, and flow. Try to identify the one best place to stand. Then start practicing with your customers and see if makes a difference.

If nothing else, this technique keeps things fresh for you!

    Great point, Jeff
Standing in the place that makes the space appear to be the largest, brightest, coziest, etc space in and around the home definitely makes a difference to the prospect. I like standing in the corner of the back yard furthest away from the home and have the prospects stand in the the opposite corner next to the home in order to demonstrate how large the backyard really is. This makes the backyard in most cases seem extremely large and impressive to the prospects.

Thank you for reminding us to stand in the right place when demonstrating a home inside and outside in order to maximize the size of the space that is being demonstrated.
    Keep up the good work.
    Regards,
    Del Barbray
