I have seen a small trickle up effect, meaning that some of my clients homes have sold so they are able to move foward with the purchase of theirs. Most of my buyers are not buying to get the money, if the timeing works out that is fine by them but they are more concerned with bigger issues, “changing their life”, the money is just a small bonus

Buying a home- the place you will be every day with your family for years and years to come- based on a tax rebate was never the purpose of the rebate. People who bought the wrong house in the wrong neighborhood just for the one time paycheck will be paying the very large price for years to come.
