Bold Practice

Practice. Practice. Repeat.

If you could be a master at any one thing, what would it be? It could be related to your job, but not necessarily. It could be a musical instrument, or a sport, or acting, or slight of hand, or cooking, or anything! Just picture being among the absolute best at any discipline at all. Well, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you absolutely can become a master at anything you want to. The bad news is it won’t come as easily as you hope.
The truth is, anyone who has ever become a “master” in any field put in A LOT of work to get there. It’s work that any one of us could have put in, but we didn’t because we didn’t think that much practice was a comfortable notion. But here’s the thing… it wasn’t comfortable to the masters either! They knew it would take hours upon hours of tedious work in order to become great, but they did it anyway because the goal was that important to them.
