Extroverts draw their energy from the people they’re with and love meeting as many people as they can. Not everyone in the world can be an extrovert. And really, how exhausting would it be if we all were?!?! But what about sales people? Shouldn’t they all be out-going, affable, energetic socialites who thrive around strangers? Well, it’s helpful, but according to Dr. Nancy Ancowitz, it’s not a necessity.
Dr. Ancowitz is the author of Self-Promotion For Introverts, and in her book she makes it clear that introverts are NOT at a disadvantage in the sales world. I’m sure some of you just breathed a big sigh of relief. In fact, she suggests that introverts may in fact have a significant ADVANTAGE. I explain the advantage in this week’s video.
