Everyday Boldness

One way that we know boldness is an action more than an attribute is to simply look at those times when boldness is necessitated by circumstance. If your child became lost, would you be bold in your efforts to find them? Of course you would. You would set every bit of hesitation aside and pursue any and all discomforts necessary to find them because of the urgency of the moment. In such times, boldness is not an option; it is an absolute necessity. While that is a depressing scenario to consider, it proves that within each of us are deep wells of boldness and the ability to employ them given the right kind of motivation. Why do we only tap into these reserves during moments of desperation? Why not use the boldness we each have, cultivating an enjoyment of the process (discomfort) in our daily lives? Boldness should not be reserved for tragedy—it should be used in positive ways every day
