Lee Salz has provided a comprehensive resource for how to hire and onboard the right people in the right way. Hire Right, Higher Profits is an outstanding resource for any sales leader who is looking to top grade the sales team.

Lee Salz’s “Revenue Investment” concept appears throughout the book, and it anchors the thinking process that managers must adopt. Performing the “Revenue Investment 360” exercise (Chapter 4) will save sales leaders from wasted time, squandered money, and massive amounts of pain and frustration. The “Revenue Investment Evaluation Program” (Chapter 7) is smart, comprehensive, and easily applied (I wish I had access to it when I was leading a sales team!). Even the interview questions in the appendix are priceless – a great way to spice up your approach.

The tools alone will pay for this book one hundred times over.

But more than that, this is just a good read. The stories and anecdotes are interesting and highly applicable (“Hello, Newman!”). The conversational tone makes it easy to relate to.
