How to Close More Sales Faster by Putting the Customer First
“Business is a game, played for fantastic stakes, and you’re in competition with experts. If you want to win, you have to learn to be a master of the game.”
― Sidney Sheldon
Today I recorded the audio version of my soon-to-be-released book, Closing 2.0: How to Close More Sales Faster by Putting Your Customer First. It’s been a daunting task, but I’m really excited about how this is shaping up.
The question is, why this book?
Have you ever searched Amazon for books on sales closing techniques? I hope you have some free time to peruse the results of that search; you’ll be there a while. It appears every expert (and many wannabe experts) has written a book on closing. (No joke: “sales closing” = 10,000+ results.)
So, why did I feel the need to contribute another book on the subject? Do I think nearly 10,000 authors are wrong? No, not exactly.
I just sensed that we needed to fill a modern-day void. Today’s best-selling closing books were written years (if not decades) ago: Zig Ziglar wrote Secrets of Closing the Sale in 1985. Tom Hopkins’ Sales Closing for Dummies appeared in 1998. Jeffrey Gitomer penned The Sales Bible in 2003, and Brian Tracy wrote The Art of Closing the Sale in 2006.
I consider these books absolute must-reads. (And to be fair, many books about sales closing have been re-released in updated versions.) But I am offering a perspective on closing that originates fully in this new era of incredibly savvy consumers and universally accessible information.
Why “Closing 2.0”?
Gone are the days of salespeople having proprietary information advantages. The world is a different place. The buyer is a different buyer. It’s time retire the old techniques and upgrade to a new mindset.
I believe today’s successful salesperson could be branded as “Sales Professional 2.0.” Today’s customer is “Buyer 2.0” and we are doing business in “Economy 2.0.”
The 2.0 indicates a new and better operating system, one that is updated and upgraded. Too many of us are holding onto 1.0 versions of closing. It’s time for a cool change, my friends.
Welcome to the 2.0 sales world…it’s a marvelous place!
Where Will You Grow from Here?
To help explain exactly what Closing 2.0 is all about, I’m hosting a free one-hour webinar on March 22 entitled, “Closing 2.0: Bust the 10 Biggest Closing Myths to Close More Sales Faster.”
There is a NEW way to close sales, and it’s far more effective than the old one. In my brand-new Closing 2.0 webinar, I’ll show you how to identify the old closing myths and eliminate them from your sales presentation so that you can connect to your buyer’s real needs and close more sales faster.
It’s time to stop selling the way you’ve always been taught to sell and start selling the way your buyer actually wants to buy.
In this fast-paced, hard-hitting one-hour webinar I will provide a Closing 2.0 blueprint that shows you how to…
- Close more profitable sales without using discounts and incentives as a crutch
- Deliver a sales presentation that is built for the close from the very first handshake
- Feel less like a “used car salesperson” and more like an expert advisor or a trusted friend
- Flow through a strategic closing process instead of forcing an awkward closing moment
- Create a close built on confidence, not fear (for both you AND your buyer!)
- Avoid “high-pressure sales” reviews and feedback on social media
- Celebrate the close with your customer and keep the sale closed!
And the best part? You don’t have to wait for the webinar date to start learning and applying these new Closing 2.0 techniques.
When you sign up for the webinar, I’ll give you a FREE preview chapter of my forthcoming book, “Closing 2.0: How to Close More Sales Faster by Putting the Customer First” that’s not available for purchase anywhere yet.
I’ll also provide you with a detailed and downloadable Closing 2.0 webinar Preparation Toolkit to help you assess your own closing beliefs and behaviors before we get on the call together.
And, you’ll have the opportunity to join a dedicated Facebook comments stream where you can share the questions you’d like me to answer during the webcast.
If you’re ready to take a quantum leap forward in your closing skills, then you need to join me on March 22 for “Closing 2.0: Bust the 10 Biggest Closing Myth to Close More Sales Faster.”
