You Have To Be Bad First
Every good drummer started by annoying their family.
Every good author has a really bad first draft.
Every expert has a chapter they’d rather you didn’t see.
We spend too much time worrying about looking foolish, getting it wrong, or what other people might think.
But if you want to get good at anything, you have to be willing to be bad at it first.
Try the thing.
Make the mistake.
Look like a beginner.
Learn.
Do it again.
The goal isn’t to avoid failure. It’s to use it.
Failure is the first step towards expertise.
