3 Strategies To Maintain Your Stamina In Sales And Avoid Burnout

Sales is a demanding, difficult, grueling job, and it can take its toll.

So, you need to ask yourself the question, “What am I doing to take care of myself, both on the job and away from work, to make sure I’m developing and maintaining my stamina?”

I’d like to offer three suggestions to answer that question…

Go get a “mental snack”

In the middle of the workday, when you’ve spent so much creative energy that your thoughts start to seem a bit “mushy,” your brain is hungry for energy.

You need a mental snack.

Find something positive and energizing to feed your brain!  Tapping into the community inside Sales365 is my favorite way to get a “mental snack.”

Take care of your body and your mind

If you want to stay strong throughout your workday, you’d better take care of yourself physically.

This means you’ve got to look at your exercise regimen, your nutrition, and your sleep habits.

Ask yourself, “What am I doing to get (and stay) healthy?”

WARNING: I’m letting you know right now you’re probably not going to like this last one…

Kill your television/social media/Netflix!

If you can’t kill it… at least severely wound it so you can limit its impact on you. In other words, put yourself on a media diet.

You could fuel your mind with a good, mentally stimulating book. You could invest in yourself in building a relationship. You could exercise. You could fuel your creative juices.

All these are things that could help you build stamina.

Build your STAMINA.  A little bit of effort on your part can lead to huge dividends.
