2 Experiential Filters Your Audience Uses to Evaluate Every Single Presentation

I’m stoked to be guest blogging for Slideshop this week. In my article, I’m discussing the purpose of a presentation and the audience filters that every presentation must make it through.

Every single presentation – whether it is a keynote, a sales pitch, or an argument – is designed to bring about another person to your way of thinking.

Did that make sense? Do you agree with that assessment? If so, I made it through your filters.

If we are to understand how our audiences evaluate our messages we must begin with the awareness that our audience listens through two primary filters.

The first filter asks the question, “Does this relate to my past experiences”? The second filter asks, “Can I apply this to my future”? If the answer to either question is “No,” the presenter has failed.

Read the entire article here and discover how to build a presentation that will survive both audience filters and be truly successful.
